Great fit, great protection, and very comfortable! I’m 5’10”, 175 and typically wear 33/30, so I ordered 34 short (30 inseam). The short size was more like 31 inseam, but perfect for riding position! Fit it relaxed. I love the accordion in the thighs and back, and the thickness of the knee padding even without armor in. 10 out of 10 for me! These are a HUGE step up from jeans $20 or $30 cheaper. I’d actually pay more since I’ve Seen much more expensive jeans that aren’t as nice.

Normally wear a 34. Joe Rocket has run small, so this review bought a 36 and they fit fine. Wore them maybe a total of 10 times for short commute rides in the last two years. They were not in common use for riding. But, was not disatisfied, until…

Put them on last week for a quick ride to a ball game with the Mrs. The reviewer swung his left leg up and over the bike when catastrophic failure struck. Instant A/C with reduced modesty. There are not enough eye brushes or brain bleach for the imaginative. The Mrs. however did twitterpate for a moment. Certainly embarrassed, but the reviewer was exceedingly grateful they failed in the garage rather than the petrol station, he gathered up what remained of his stoic dignity and went inside for a change.

After two sets of summer gloves, one set of winter gloves (which were solid), two Atomic textile jackets, two Atomic textile pants (one pair replaced by JR) all with faulty zippers…(crotch and cuffs) and now this catastrophic exposure… Joe Rocket has lost my confidence. The price point is lower than most and what lured me in and I am sure the textile would do its’ job, but they just don’t last beyond a season. And, in this case with the jeans-at all. Time to leave the discount gear on the shelf. Spend the extra coin and get proper kit.

Other than no hip protection, no complaints. Vegan friendly even.

Awesome pants. Couldn’t be happier with them. A great substitute for chaps especially in summer. Ordered size 34 intially but way too baggy. I’m 5’5, 165, 32-33 waist and the 32 short fit perfectly with no alterations. Really like the optional knee armor. Suprisingly cool……….with the armor, there is actually cooling air that comes up the pants leg. Another exceptional Joe Rocket product

  5. Jonathan

    They fit excat

  6. Carl Anderson

Good for the price you pay

  7. Papyruse

Worth it. Its not slim fit as any other motorcycle jeans out there. Its baggy but better than other non-name brands.

I’m a big fan of Joe rocket, but these fall short. (no pun intended).

What is it with the knee pads being so LOW?
I can see others mention it unless they’re way above 6 feet tall.

The length of the legs is perfect, but because of the odd stretch sections above the knee’s forces the pocket to have to be below it, so they’re more at a high shin level.

I am only 5′ 8″ but it seems pretty obvious to me that they keep the identical same jean design and just lop the lower legs to get the right size, and not actually figure out a proper knee pad height appropriate for that leg measurement.
I would have to hoist these things to my navel to have the knee’s line up, at which point the leg length would be showing my ankles.

Really, an interior adjustable knee pad pocket is the way to go, but the odd looking stretch thing on the thigh again, would limit it’s function..
When these jeans get to around the 300 mark, you start seeing some adjustable knee pockets.. Just so silly.

Also, the hip protector pockets are at the top front of the thighs..
I’m not understanding how that would do anything. Every other pair has the hip protector on the outside edge to protect the protruding pelvic bone. Top of the thigh isn’t going to do anything in the even of a crash.

They seem like decent pants but even the short size is too long for me anyway had to have them hemmed and the pocket for the knee pad will make a nice shin protector lol will be wearing these tomorrow at the msf class so we shall see
