Bikers Gear Up for Stronger, Healthier Babies
WHAT: Bikers for Babies® is a 60-mile motorcycle ride that raises funds to support the March of Dimes® mission to improve the health of babies. Riders enjoy a great ride knowing that their money is used to fund research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.
WHEN: Sunday, November 11, 2012 (10:00 A.M. 2:00 P.M.)
WHERE: F. Burton Smith Pavilion on Hwy. 520, Cocoa, FL
HOW: Go to www.bikersforbabies.org/spacecoast to register.
WHY: Premature birth is the most serious infant health problem in the United States today. It affects more than half a million babies each year nationwide and 1 in 8 babies in Brevard County. Babies born too soon are more likely to die or have lifelong disabilities. The March of Dimes is committed to reducing this toll by funding research to find the causes of premature birth and providing comfort and information to families. The Healthy Babies Healthy Business® Program was developed by the March of Dimes to assist organizations in reaching out to employees in their childbearing years to provide timely wellness information related to having healthy pregnancies and one of many programs that are funded through your support.
