The Sturgis Black Hills Rally is always full of fun and excitement for all bikers, young and old alike. With motorcycle shows, biker gear vendors, races, bike contests and concerts, it is a week of entertainment that makes for unforgettable family memories. People from all over the United States (and even the world) attend the annual event in Sturgis, South Dakota to meet new friends and connect with old ones. In 2012, Sturgis has a full line-up of entertainment, and continues to impress with its party atmosphere and full schedule.
One of the highlights of Sturgis 2012 is the Shinedown concert, live at the Buffalo Chip Campground on Wolfman Jack’s Memorial Stage. Many attendees are excited to see this band that has risen from the rest of the hard rock industry with fervor and is one of the best hard rock acts around. Their performances make for an unforgettable experience to rock the night away! Songs from their recent album release, Amaryllis, will be debuted, along with many of their chart-toppers including “Burning Bright,” “I Dare You,” and “Heroes.” The band is sure to to please current and new fans at this year’s Sturgis rally!
There are other exciting and unique events planned out during the week of the Sturgis 2012 event. Go-go dancers, hula girls, and fire dancers are regularly set to perform throughout the week, and interactive events such as karaoke and joke contests are scheduled for those who want to test their humor and vocal chords with the crowd. The Miss Buffalo Chip Beauty Pageant will be going on during the week, and many contests and events will be held. There will be a memorial run, bike shows, and even free pancake breakfasts for those wanting a good filling meal to refuel from all the excitement! And don’t forget the great lineup of concerts going on throughout the week. Along with Shinedown will be many other amazing bands and performers, including Judd Hoos, Five 13, Andy Gibson, Sugarland, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Jackyl.
Sturgis is one of the largest events in the United States, bringing bikers and enthusiasts from all over the globe to converge and share in the camaraderie of others. It is a place for people to meet, greet, and reconnect, sharing the sense and feeling of brotherhood among each other. This event continues to grow each and every year, bringing around a half million attendees to the area annually. This year, Sturgis will celebrate its 72nd year in operation, and continues to bring fellow enthusiasts in from all corners of America.
