10 reviews for Harley-Davidson Men’s Distortion Boot

  1. A. J. Gunn

Don’t believe what the reviews say
1: they are true to size for a bit more room order a half size up you won’t need anymore than that
2: if the zipper pull breaks off it’s your fault for pulling to hard
I’m not gonna tell you how to close and zip a boot go to YouTube
    3. If you pull on the back loop pull and it breaks it’s your fault I’m not gonna tell you how to put on an unzipped boot with out using the pull loop go to YouTube for that
    4. The neck of the boot will not fit your tucked in jeans or you break the zipper and the loop see 1. And 3. on this list
    5. The boot is a regular top length boot it does not go up on your calf
    6. In retrospect: I wear a size 8 when I want my boot to fit exactly and that’s what I ordered I could have gone a half size larger but then I would be dealing with a boot moving on my foot as I’m trying to shift and brake
(Anyone who actually rides knows what I’m talking about)
The boot is seriously bad ass but it’s made for riding not walking (but then again it is a riding boot) but I can say when I ride with the boot and walk around a bit my sciatica seems to relax a bit so thank you Harley Davidson for designing and the Chinese people who made the Diversion Boot it’s made my hip and leg cramp less.

Great Boot looks Badass and Rides fantastic go buy a pair you won’t be disappointed just don’t yank on the zipper or the loop and you’ll be happy.

I got a big issue with these not being water proof at all. If you ride you will ride in the rain at some point. I got in a small rain storm and these things were sopping wet in minutes.

So ok, I brought them home, dried them out, coated them with a Kiwi waterproofing, not much help. Wiped them down with mink oil and waiting to see if they hold off water better.

I got them dusty and went to spray them off with a water hose and the water went right to my sock.

But man, they look cool as long as your dry.

Out of the box they look nice. First attempt to get foot in, pull tab broke with very minimal pressure. I normally wear 10.5-11d in cowboy or lace up depending on boot. Reviews said they run big so i got a 10m. Feels like an 11 1/2d. Very little cushion and really sloppy and alot of heel lift. Alot of extra room at the top, like when my 7yr old trys on my cowboy boots. I added a pair of insoles and now it feels snug and more cushion but will need a break in period now. With insoles, my feet feel tight around the arch, about 3/4-1″ of heel lift and still plenty of toe room. After the side of my heel, they start to feel pretty loose and sloppy. If you conceal carry an ankle rig, youll have plenty of room. A compact .38 would fit no prob and may improve the fit. A cheap neoprene ankle brace may be helpful to wear with these, not only for extra padding but for some actual ankle support. If your used to cowboy boots they fit like a cheap pair, defintaely not ariat or justins. I do like the side buckles being attatched instead of just a snap, however the buckle side is on eleastic not leather to leather. That will be a major wear out point im guessing. They are not steel toe. The leather on front of toe and around the bottom is stiffer than the rest of the leather coming up the boot. The sole is thick and very stiff which would protect better in crash but may limit the feel you have for where you foot is at on the footpeg. If you like to sit with one foot crossed on to the other leg, the side buckle sits right on the ankle bone and if my foot got stuck under a tipped bike, it would probly do more damage than without it. Anytime you buy clothing or boots online without trying them on its a risk. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont. If i was able to try these on at the store i would not have bought for me. But, im not unhappy enough with them to send them back either. Maybe if you have a shoe repair shop nearby, these could be improved on easy enough but if not, just remember pull tabs are for looks only.

Very stylish boots. They do make my feet look like Frankenstein feet. I can’t wait to get on my motorcycle with these boot. I will look so cool going down I-5.

  5. Elaine Blalock

Fits very comfortable and very good arch support.

  6. chris

Too big in the foot and too small in the ankle, couldn’t get anywhere near doing the zip up. Looked great and well made, just didn’t realise bikers had such tiny ankles!

  7. chasity

Boots look and feel great. Very heavy. My sons only complaint was it needed insoles for comfort. These are legit Harley boots so I think the $$ spent was a valued purchase.

  8. Paul Finnigan

Can’t fault these boots, they’re not cheap but you get what you pay for. They’re warm, comfortable, and with the right trousers they’re smart enough to be worn to dinner.

One minor concern seems to be a little confusion over sizing. What i ordered was a uk size 10, what i got was US size 10 (uk 9). However, the fit of these boots runs a little large and i found these to fit me just right.

I love these boots. I generally hate buying clothing online. I want to try it on for fit and comfort (it’s tough to find true “wide width” footwear) but I took a chance on these boots and I’m glad I did. Great fit and super comfortable for riding. I only gave 4 stars as the second time I pulled them on the pull loop on one boot ripped loose. A bit heavy as standard footwear but perfect for riding. The right support and coverage right where you need it. Aside from the one broken loop the quality feels great with good quality leather and a heavy duty zipper. I do wish the buckles were more functional as they seem to be more for looks than actually being able to snug the boot up but I expected as much. Either way, I would buy these again for sure.

This is my second pair of these boots. The first pair last about 6-7 years and an accident.
