This is my 3rd pair of these Boots..1st pair my Great Dane chewed the Heel off..lol..
2nd Pair I ordered 1/2 size to large and the zippers only worked on 1 side of them…Never understood that?..3rd times a Charm…Both Zippers functions…and The Danes are out of the Chewing stage! Lol

I am impressed. These boots are extremely comfortable, the leather feels very high-quality, and the double-zipper feature means they are easy to remove and to re-secure. My feet stay dry, they have a good grip, and look stylish to boot.

Edit: after 5 months of semi-regular use, one of the zipper pulls has sheared off, making these a lot harder to use, so I have dropped it from my initial 5-star review to 4-stars.

**Edit** After about a year and a half, these boots are looking a bit rough. Mostly due to me neglecting to polish them often enough, and the fact that I practically live in them. They’ve seen all weather conditions, and fought them all like a champ. I work on my feet and am constantly moving. These boots have seen more miles than my Harley this year, and they still have life left in them. The only issue I’m having is the back of the heels are wearing thin from the constant wear. The leather and the zippers still have a lot of life left in them.

I stand by my 5 Star review! If you’re on the fence, jump!

::Edit #2:: at nearly 2 &1/2 years, it’s time for a new pair. 2 of the zipper pulls are giving out, and the soles are wearing quite thin. Everything else is still in great shape, the leather and the canvas are still holding up quite well, as are the zippers themselves. Unfortunately, it’s not cost effective to have them resoled, because the uppers have a lot of life left in them.
I am buying another pair of these boots now, it would be silly to look elsewhere when I know how well these worked out for me.

Perfect, I needed something to wear while riding and for work, these fit the bill. Comfortable from the get go, and roomy enough for an extra insole.
These boots are a little on the heavy side, but that’s because of the quality leather.
Also, the double zippers are awesome. I tied the boots the first time I put them on, and have not had to touch the laces since.

As per that 1 star review, I can see where the confusion comes in. On the box it does state that they are composite, however the tag on the boots themselves states steel toe. The tag is wrong, I can only assume they just didn’t have tags that say composite toe. The first thing I did was test them with a strong magnet, nothing. Then the metal detectors at work confirmed that they were composite toe, when they didn’t go off on my way into work last night. However, they did go off a couple nights ago when I stepped too close to the side, because the Harley logo pins on the sides are metal. Why they would put metal logos on composite boots is beyond me. With that said, they are not 100% metal detector proof.

I highly recommend these boots., they are well worth the price.

I received these boots, gave them a protective coat of shine, and took them on the road. These boots are really well made. I feel like I could trample a village of armored fairies with these things on. The fit is right on with what I expected. The color was spot on…black…just like my soul. The one pleasant surprise was that these are safety toe boots, which I didn’t see in the description, but that may be because I can’t read. Who knows? I must also mention the tread. These things grip like gorilla having an orgasm, so if you are worries about skipping…. don’t. All in all… Great riding boots. Buy them now!

I like them. I am on my 2nd pair now.

I’ll be honest right from the start. These were not really the boots that I wanted. What I wanted was Bates Boots 11” paratroopers, but, these were very similar and offered features that aren’t available for the paratroopers (specifically the safety toe), and they were about 50 bucks less. So, I went with these even though I knew that the Bates boots would be better. I’ve had several pairs from Bates and I know you can’t go wrong with them. They’re amazing. This isn’t a review of their boots, though.

I’ll start with what I think is good about the pair that I got. They look freaking awesome! That’s a big bonus right from the git go. I’ve had multiple people just come up and tell me that they liked my boots, which (as a guy) is a little f***ing weird. Moving on…. The stitching seems to be very high quality. As a matter of fact I haven’t seen a single defect in the construction of these boots. They look absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for a pair of boots that look awesome I highly recommend these.

However, if you’re looking for boots that you can actually wear… I might still recommend these as an alternative to something else.

This is my experience so far. I received the boots and tried them on; they were a little snug side to side in the toes, but they have safety toes and I was expecting that. There was a little wiggle front to back which was perfect. I was actually extremely impressed with how well they fit and I was very happy with them. I wore them around the house that night for probably 3-4 hours with no problems. I slipped them on the next day for work and enjoyed them quite a bit up until about noon that day. That’s when the back of my right heel started hurting. Not a big deal, I thought. It just needs time to stretch out or soften up or whatever. I went on like that for a few days before I decided that something needed to be done. And, I should mention that I’ve never had any specific problems with my right heel in any other pair of boots I’ve ever owned. I got some leather conditioner and applied it all over both boots and paid special attention to the heel backs. I put ‘em on and wore them until the conditioner dried. The whole time I was thinking about how much better they felt already.

The next day, I put them on and within an hour could barely walk because of the pain in the back of my heel.

It’s been two weeks now. I have applied leather conditioner to them 7 times now and I’ve worn them pretty much every day (there were a couple days that I just couldn’t do it and went back to my old Carolina boots). Today was the first day that I made it through without wanting to scream at myself for wasting so much money. They are actually feeling ok now and I’m optimistic that they’ll just get better from here.

I’d also like to point out that the seem over the toe on the left foot lines up exactly with the shifter on my bike. I’ve ridden… uh… hmmm…. 250 miles? wearing these boots and the leather is already rolling over in that spot. You can see it in my last picture. It’s not exactly something to complain about yet. But, it’s something to consider.
